The DFL endorsed Liz to be its candidate for District 51B because its Eagan activists believe Liz is the best candidate to represent DFL values at the Capital. This means the DFL believes Liz is the best person to fight for everyone’s right to stable employment with fair wages, a proper education, accessible and affordable healthcare, and to raise and provide for a family, to live in safe communities, and to retire with dignity and security.
DFL Environmental Caucus, a 1,000 member caucus of the DFL made up of Minnesotans most deeply concerned about the environment, endorsed Liz as the best advocate for clean water, parks, and a sensible approach to fighting our climate crisis.
AFSCME Council 5, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, a group representing 43,000 public servants from across the state endorsed Liz, the best candidate to ensure a quality experience for every Minnesotan helped by the government.
The Boundary Waters Action Fund, an organization dedicated to protecting the 1.1 million-acre Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, America’s most visited Wilderness Area and economic lifeblood of northeastern Minnesota, endorsed Liz because she will fight to protect this unique treasure from sulfide-ore copper mining by Twin Metals and other companies owned by foreign mining giants. This type of mining has never been done before in Minnesota and has never been done safely in a water-rich environment.
Education Minnesota, the state’s largest labor union and the greatest voice of professional educators in Minnesota endorsed Liz as the best candidate for our teachers and students.
International Union of Painters & Allied Trades, District Council 82, a voice for 3,500 workers in the finishing trades across Minnesota and neighboring states, endorsed Liz as the best candidate to stand up for workers – no matter where they are from – in modernizing and repairing our roads, bridges, buildings, airports, water systems and energy grid, and guarantee that their voices are heard in the fight for fair pay, safe work sites and proper job training.
LiUNA, representing 28,000 members as Minnesota’s infrastructure union, endorsed Liz as the best candidate to create family-sustaining jobs, provide affordable healthcare and retirement security, and support worker rights and freedoms.
AFL-CIO, the state federation of labor representing 300,000 members in 1,000 local unions throughout Minnesota, endorsed Liz because they considered her the best candidate to improve the lives of working families, bringing economic justice to the workplace and social justice to our state and nation.
MAPE, with 15,000 members strong, endorsed Liz as the best candidate to help them improve the services they provide Minnesotans, whether it’s guarding the environment, protecting our food and water supply, or ensuring that the most vulnerable residents are well cared for.
Minnesota Youth Climate Strike, a community of Minnesota youth founded on the principle that everyone deserves a safe and livable future regardless of who they are, and dedicated to insuring that we enact powerful legislation to combat the impending climate crisis, believes that Liz is the best candidate to do just that.
The 22,000 member Minnesota Nurses Association endorsed Liz for her dedication to issues that are important to nurses, patients and working families, including advancing community health and well-being, and access to quality healthcare for all.
The MN State Council Service Employees International Union, a 59,000 member labor union representing workers across Minnesota, endorsed Liz as the best candidate for improving the lives of workers and their families and creating a more just and humane society.
NARAL Pro-Choice Minnesota endorsed Liz because she is a pro-choice champion who will work to ensure that every Minnesotan has the reproductive freedom so essential to achieving gender equality.
The North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, representing 27,000 union members and their families, endorsed Liz as the best candidate to help all workers gain jobs that are fair, safe and respected.
OutFront Minnesota, striving to create a state where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people are free to be who they are, love who they love, and live without fear of violence, harassment or discrimination, endorsed Liz for her commitment to working to represent the needs of LGBTQ+ Minnesotans.
Planned Parenthood, a trusted name in Minnesota for nearly 100 years, endorsed Liz because they know she supports the full range of reproductive and sexual health care and will work hard to make sure all Minnesotans have the information and the means to make free and responsible decisions about whether and when to have children.
The Sierra Club, the 3.8 million member, most influential U.S. grassroots environmental organization, endorsed Liz in appreciation of her commitment to protecting the environment and because they believe her the best candidate to defend everyone’s right to a healthy world.
