On April 20, 2022, the Star Tribune published very concerning statistics about high rates of catalytic converter theft in Eagan.
During the 2022 Legislative Session, the DFL House is offering legislation that provides additional protections against catalytic converter theft.
There is help now, too. In 2021, we passed legislation that established a pilot program that enables owners of the most-targeted vehicles to get their catalytic converters marked—a known deterrent.
If you drive one of the listed vehicles, go to this link and find a participating law enforcement agency, business, or community organization.
